Feb.19.2012 NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Last year’s open-wheel sensation is quickly becoming this year’s stock-car craze. Kyle Larson continued his transition to stock cars on the opening night of the 46th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Saturday at New Smyrna Speedway. Larson won the super late model feature to kick off eight days of racing at the half-mile asphalt oval. Other winners were Travis Swaim (pro late models), Ted Christopher (tour modifieds), David Cramner (SK modifieds), Rich Clouser (super stocks) and Jerry Symons (IMCA modifieds). |
