The Havasu 95 Speedway will heat up the Thanksgiving weekend this Saturday, November 26th, with a special day event filled with ASA sanctioned racing. The quarter mile paved oval, located within the Sara Park complex in Lake Havasu City-Arizona, will treat its fans to on track action from the Gene Price Motorsports Late Model River Series, the ASA Street Stocks, the Factory Stocks and the Goose Team Factory Stocks. The green flag falls on the action beginning at 2 pm.

Strongly supported by Gene Price Motorsports, the Parker-Arizona race car fabrication shop and high performance parts distributor, the Late Model River Series is a special eight race points series held at the Havasu 95 Speedway and the Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway in nearby Blythe-California.

Mike Sutterfield has won the first two races of the winter racing season so far and now holds a 16 point advantage over Greg Leith. Meanwhile Leith will have to keep an eye on his rear view mirror for the presence of Rob Munoz and David Forrester who are tied for third in the standings and only two points out of second. Also very involved in this points race is Mark Schriner who holds down fifth in the rankings. But if this group of drivers, within the top five, are going to stop the onslaught of Sutterfield's win streak, and his quest for another series title, the time to make that move is this Saturday night before Sutterfield gets too far ahead of them.

The ASA Street Stocks will be bringing a skin tight points battle to the Havasu 95 Speedway Saturday night. Local driver Rick Zirges has accumulated 140 championship points based on a feature win and three top five finishes. Meanwhile Rick Maddox has parlayed two second place finishes and a fourth into 140 points. Making this tie for first even more intense is the presence of the red hot Rick Benzansen who has won the last two features in a row. Those two feature wins has placed Benzansen third in the standings only two points away from the leaders.

The fan favorite Factory Stock division will be making their fifth appearance of the season bringing with them their always exciting and entertaining racing is rubbing format. Chris Weiss, based on his first feature win of the season back on November 5th, leads the division points standings by 18 over Chris Blackwell and William Guevara who are tied for second. They're followed by Jim Caley who is 22 points out of first.

The Goose Janitorial Team Factory Stocks, a concept that requires three rotating drivers with at least one of them having to be a female, will also be making their fifth appearance of the season. Team Shake and Bake, based on two feature wins and two second place finishes, leads the standings with 196 points. Team Monte Carlo, also a feature winner this year, holds down second, ten points out of first. The Intimidators is ranked third in the standings and 12 points out of first.

On Saturday race day the spectator gates will open at 12 noon with the green flag falling on the racing at 2 pm. General admission tickets are $12. Tickets for seniors, 55 plus, the military and the handicapped are $10. Kids tickets, ages six to 16, are $5 while kids five and under are admitted free if accompanied by a paid adult. Lake Havasu Unified School District students will receive a one dollar discount by presenting their school ID cards. The family also offers a family package for $25 that admits two adults and two kids. Fans can also enjoy the special amenities from the speedway's VIP section, featuring the best seats in the house, for $25.
