xc Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Revs Back Up In Northern Ohio This Weekend

After a one week hiatus the 410 sprint cars in Northern Ohio are set to do battle for yet another weekend of racing in their quest for the $10,000 to win championship in the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) presented by Engine Pro and KS Sales & Service. The series hopes to get in its first weekend of back-to-back nights of racing after Mother Nature washed out events at both Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway in separate weekends. After just two events Bixby, Oklahoma invader Shane Stewart (Fremont) and defending F.A.S.T Champion Bryan Sebetto (Attica) have made their way to Engine Pro Victory Lane at the two Northern Ohio facilities.

The F.A.S.T. drivers return to Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 11th with a tight points battle under way as just 16-points separate the first eleven drivers in the F.A.S.T. Kistler Cup point standings. Sitting on top of the hill with the bullseye on their backs are Todd Heller and Brian Smith who put together a pair top-10 runs to start off the season. Friday night's feature at "Ohio's Finest Racing" speed plant will start 22-cars and pay $3,000 to win and also serves as one of two final tune-ups for local sprint car drivers before the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invades on the first Friday of June.

Saturday, May 12th finds the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title chase heading back to Fremont Speedway. The winged warriors of the F.A.S.T. Series will share the stage with the traditional non-wing sprint cars of the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series giving race fans a rare chance of watching sprint car racing with and without the wings all in one night.

This weekend will also serve as the final tune-up for the 305 sprint cars before opening weekend for the F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series on Friday, May 18th at Attica and Saturday, May 19th at Fremont. Fremont, Ohio's D.J. Foos has shown early season dominance as the Automatic Fire Protection, Tender Turn Car Wash, Buckshot Farms backed #11F has made three trips to Engine Pro Victory Lane at Attica and picked up his first win of 2012 at Fremont last Saturday night. No one is making the check out to Foos just yet for the $1,000 to win; 10-race mini series thanks to the likes of Nate Dussel, Jimmy Colvin, Jordan Ryan and veterans like Paul Weaver, John Ivy, Jamie Miller and Dan Hammond looking to win the title.

FREMONT/ATTICA SPRINT TITLE FANTASY LEAGUE UPDATE: Time is running out to enter the 2012 F.A.S.T. Fantasy League if you want to contain for the championship title. This year a pair of tickets to both Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway to a F.A.S.T. weekend of your choice in 2013 will be given out to the overall champion, while gift packs of F.A.S.T. merchandise will be awarded to second and third place finishers. The F.A.S.T. Fantasy League is also the only league at fantasydirtracing.com that gives out a prize (poster and decals) to the individual with the highest weekly score.

Currently Australian sprint car fan Mark Brown (mnb) currently leads the standings by just 4-points over PJ 15 kid. HoundsOfHell, FinishLineExpress and Fast Ones round out the top-5 heading into the weekend.
