Marcie Barlow Apr.19.2012 PITTSBURGH, PA - The Brougher's Machine Shop FASTRAK/Pro-Late Models will vie for a $1,000.00 top prize this Saturday evening, April 21st, as Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway presents the Spring Sizzler 25. The Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models, Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTCar Late Model Sportsman, Miley BP Car Wash DIRTcar Hobby Stocks and Imperial Heights Garage DIRTcar Young Guns will also be in action. "This Saturday's event is the first of seven specials that are scheduled for the Pro-Late Model Division in 2012," commented Speedway Owner, Matt Miley. "We feel that our weekly Pro-Late competitors are some of the best in the tri-state area and we are looking forward to them battling any 'invaders' who may join us for the Pro-Late Sizzler events." Medved Flinner Action Chuck Medved leads Colton Flinner in opening night heat race action Mike Pegher, Jr., the 2011 FASTRAK Late Model Grand National Champion, scored the win two weeks ago on opening night as he defeated veteran Chad Ruhlman. Other favorites expected to be in action this weekend include the 2011 PPMS Pro-Late Champion Colton Flinner, Kyle and Laura Lukon, Justin Lamb and Beau Glemba. Other winners on opening night included Michael Norris (Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Super Late Models), Jake Simmons (Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTcar Late Model Sportsman), Ed Wiser (Miley BP Car Wash DIRTcar Hobby Stocks) and Todd Weldon (Imperial Heights Garage DIRTcar Young Guns). The Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates for all Saturday events open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM. Effective with the Saturday, April 21st event, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM. Adult Grandstand Admission for this Saturday is $13.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $12.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $9.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise. Pit Admission for this week's racing is $30.00. Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments however; glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. In addition coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller in size. And don't forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of amusement park munchies like monster chicken wings, juicy hamburgers and hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches and cotton candy at "fan friendly prices."
